Green Tea- Rich with antioxidants and nutrients, green tea is considered by many to have benefits for a variety of health issues. Japanese monks discovered green tea while visiting China centuries ago. Since then, green tea has become a daily staple ever since, claiming it gave them energy and mental focus that enhanced their meditation. It is now said to help alleviate numerous ailments like headaches, help treat depression, and prevent cancer, reducing damage done to the skin from environmental aggressors and pollutants.  

 

Rich in polyphenols, it targets free radicals, particularly those caused by UV-induced oxidative sun damage, which are proven to help reduce the signs of premature aging. As a main ingredient in our Revitalizing Body Moisturizer this antioxidant helps detoxify, leading to less irritations, soothes and rejuvenates skin.

Sesame Seed Oil- A natural antioxidant that has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Derived from the sesame seed they are packed with Vitamin A and Vitamin E as well as zinc, which can help the healing process for tattooed skin which is why this was essential in our after/care treatment moisturizer to treat freshly-tattooed skin. Rich in fatty acids, sesame seed oil also helps keep skin soft, hydrated and helps improve elasticity. Polyphenols in the sesame seeds prevent the skin from getting the oily shine and restore the natural barrier balance. Additionally Sesame Seed oil ranks extremely low on the comedogenic scale, which means it will deeply hydrate without clogging pores.  

Chamomile- Chamomile is an herb that has been used for thousands of years to calm, heal, and soothe skin. With origins dating back to ancient Egypt, used as a cosmetic, it contains high levels of an antioxidant known as apigenin, which explains why this is such a fundamental for skin. It’s anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties can help relieve skin irritations, even the most sensitive types. The natural polyphenols and phytochemicals in chamomile can speed up the healing process of scars and minimize wrinkles and breakouts. Lastly, The polyphenols work mainly to eliminate free radicals that cause premature aging making this a perfect ingredient in our after/care treatment moisturizer.

Yuzu- Yuzu lemon, also known as Citrus junos, found its way to Japan and Korea, from central China, where it became a highly regarded skin care ingredient. Used as an essence in our hydrating lip balm set, this power citrus is packed with antioxidants that promote anti-aging and rejuvenation to the lips.

Cherry Blossom- Another key essence found in our hydrating lip balm set, also known as sakura in Japan, is a highly regarded flower, that provides more than just beauty to the eyes. high in antioxidants that help fight skin-damaging free radicals which repair the skin’s natural barriers and promote a smooth, supple complexion.
